Betcoin Poker Review: Good software and good bonuses

SITE TRAFFIC (4/10)

As an up and comer in the crypto poker world, Betcoin is currently struggling with traffic and most hours of the day, the lobby is pretty empty.

With the promotional push they have made combined with an excellent backing, we expect Betcoin to increase traffic sharply near the end of 2014 and early 2015. An indication of this is their 1,500 BTC guarantee tournament which will take place on December 14th, 2014.

For tournament players, an interesting point is that all tournaments and SNG’s are merged with WPN Network – America’s Cardroom and Black Chip Poker, which increases the player pool greatly for selected tournaments.

   
  

SOFTWARE PLAYABILITY (8.5/10)

Betcoin has a PC as well as a flash platform to play through your browser.

The PC version is pretty smooth and actually very good. A huge plus for betcoin poker is that it works with HEM and PT4. This makes it extremely appealing to full time grinders if the traffic increases.

The flash version is still not completely functional and in our testing we found it to be buggy. Some major bugs we found included- hands/cards won’t show up in time and chips will be put into the pot without actually seeing the showdown. There is definitely a lot of improvement that needs to be made on their flash version.

There isn’t a android or mobile version expected yet, but we would expect Betcoin to try and increase their site traffic before exploring these avenues.

The 30 second timebank is lower than usual, but with good software that isn’t buggy it isn’t a huge problem.

  
  

CASHIER (8/10)

Betcoin offers zero deposit confirmations which is something that sportsbook users have been accustomed to. This makes it pretty fast to get your money onto Betcoin and into the grind. In our tests, the funds were available for play in less than 5 minutes of us initiating a deposit.

Withdrawals are processed when received and typically take no more than 15 minutes but can take up to 2 hours when processed between 9am – 11pm EST and up to 6 hours from 11pm – 9am EST.

This makes it appealing to play here for some quick sessions due to the speed you can deposit and withdraw at betcoin.

CUSTOMER SERVICE (8/10)

Betcoin offers support through email as well as live chat and we found their email support to be on par with most major online poker rooms.

The response time was above excellent and we received a reply within hours. The detail of the reply was above average and the responses are mostly individual not some generic template that most sites do.

Betcoin has also indicated that they will likely be introducing phone support in the near future so that is an added option for crypto bettors.

REWARD SYSTEM (8/10)

Betcoin has a 100% first deposit bonus of up to 1 BTC. They also offer reload bonuses for the second and third deposit. The conditions of the bonus are as follows:

1st Deposit 100%, 2nd Deposit 50%, and 3rd Deposit 25% of to 1 btc total for the bonus and it is a 30-50x rollover depending on the risk management of the account. The bonus expires after 30 days.

They do have rakeback in their ‘players club’, which is similar to pokerstars with different levels achieving higher rakeback percentages. However, their rewards system is based off the contributed rake method which is disadvantageous to high volume grinders. They also have a bad beat jackpot that can help entice recreational players.
